The Fairmont Kea Lani in the Wailea area of Maui was just paradise from the moment we arrived until the minute we drove away after check-out.
My family and I stayed at the Fairmont in July 2014. Upon arrival we were greeted with delicious cold drinks and fresh flower leis. The check-in process was so welcoming and warm. We were given all the necessary information on where to find the hotel’s restaurants, spa, pools, etc., and a map of the hotel.
The hotel grounds are gorgeous with beautiful flowers and trees. It is a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere without being stuffy. The grounds are very spacious for the number of guests. We never felt crowded and there were always plenty of lounge chairs either by the pool, beach or the grounds overlooking the ocean. There is a large waterslide for all to enjoy and a beautiful adult only pool.
This is an all suite hotel and it was incredibly comfortable for our family of 4. Each suite has a separate bedroom and a very comfortable sofa bed in the living area. A very large marble bathroom with double sinks, bath tub and huge shower, can be accessed from the bedroom and living area. The view from the balcony is truly stunning.
Service from all at the hotel was remarkable from the wait staff, the service by the pool and beach, the concierge, and even the car attendants. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we were receiving the highest level of service.
The concierge was very helpful with all our inquiries. The morning we left for the Road to Hana we were given fresh towels and bottles of water. The day we were going up to Haleakala we were given blankets to keep us warm as the temperature at the summit is in the 40’s.
The food at the Fairmont was exquisite. Our favorite restaurant during our 11 day trip to Hawaii was Ko at the Fairmont. We had two dinners there and one lunch. Every meal was delicious and the service impeccable. One day we ordered lunch at the pool and my son asked for honey mustard to dip his fries. The waitress said they didn’t have any but she would make it for him. Five minutes later she was back with the most delicious honey mustard she made for him with mayo, mustard and sugar!
I highly recommend the Fairmont Kea Lani. It is a hotel where from the minute you arrive you will feel like royalty. Spectacular grounds, impeccable service, exquisite food, and spacious suites, it was pure perfection!
