Istria, Croatia - Croatia's Northern Peninsula is a Top Culinary Destination often referred to as the 'Tuscany of Croatia', Istria has spectacular hilltop villages, vineyards on rolling hills, and Italian culture with many culinary delights.Continental and Mediterranean cuisine come together in Istria: fresh fish, pasta with local truffles, game dishes, and pork and sausages. Piedmont, Italy - this northern region of Italy is known as the land of truffles and wine. Rich pastas, polenta and meats are prepared with German and French influence. Enjoy a walking tour through one of the lovely towns in Piedmont with food tastings along the way. This region is responsible for producing some of Italy's finest wines so vineyard visits and tastings are a must.
San Sebastián, Spain - this small seaside town in Northern Spain frequently tops the list of the world’s best places to eat. It is quite stunning and I fell in love with San Sebastian from the moment I arrived. This picturesque city has beautiful stone lined pedestrian streets filled with boutique shops, restaurants, and tapas bars.
Along with the amazing culinary scene, San Sebastian offers a vibrant and beautiful beachfront – Playa La Concha. It is hard not to fall in love with San Sebastian, the food, the views, the beach… it is one of Europe’s loveliest cities.
