Europe’s rivers connect major capitals and small villages. Sailing along these rivers you'll be traveling through the heart of European countries and exploring the most charming and beautiful towns and villages.
Here I share with you my 5 favorite experiences from sailing on the Rhine River:
Exploring Riquewihr - This fairytale town in the Alsace region of France will take your breath away. The colorful buildings, bakeries, wineries, and overall charm truly felt like you were back in the 16th century.
Biking in Strasbourg - One of the most enchanting cities in Europe will captivate you. Discover its iconic “La Petite France” district. Explore the city on bike including riding through the beautiful Parc de l’Orangerie.
Hiking in Rudesheim - If I had to pick just one favorite stop from the Rhine River cruise it would be Rudesheim. Hiking along the river of this romantic city lined with vineyards was one of the most unique experiences of my trip.
Sailing past Castles - The middle part of the Rhine, between Rudesheim and Koblenz, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This area is lined with vineyards and more than 40 castles and fortresses from the Middle Ages. Experiencing this spectacular area on the top deck of a river cruise while enjoying wines from this region is a once in a lifetime experience.
Amsterdam's Jordaan District - Amsterdam's spectacular canals and colorful flowers makes it one of the most unique cities in the world. The Jordaan District is a neighborhood with charming narrow streets lined with small shops, restaurants and beautiful buildings. Stroll the streets and take a food tour to try some delicious Dutch favorites.
