Ahh Florence… There is a lot to explore in this breathtaking city, from learning about the birth of the Renaissance and seeing the David, to indulging in the amazing culinary scene and shopping for leather goods.

But Florence is also a great base for exploring nearby areas, and for so many diverse interests…

Cinque Terre

- For HIKERS – A day in Cinque Terre… the 5 charming cliff side villages that make up the Cinque Terre are some of the most picturesque in Italy. You can hike or walk to spectacular viewpoints between the towns but don’t worry, there are also trains to take you back to where you started.

- For WINE LOVERS – Explore the wine regions in Tuscany… our driver and guide pick you up from Florence for a day of exploring charming countryside towns, touring wineries, enjoying tastings and a lovely lunch at a vineyard. Do you have a preference for a specific wine? The Tuscany region is famous for its Chianti and Brunello wines. Let us know and we’ll ensure you visit the wineries producing your favorite wines.

- For CAR AFICIONADOS – The Lamborghini Factory Tour is a dream for car lovers where you can see how these vehicles are manufactured on the production line (still hand built today), and you can even take one for a test drive!

Food market

- For FOODIES – Indulge in culinary experiences in Emilia Romagna (known as the gastronomic region of Italy), where you can tour a Parmegiano Reggiano dairy farm, enjoy a food walking tour, take a cooking class, or go truffle hunting.

These are all excellent day trips from Florence. So next time you visit, don’t just stay for a couple of nights to see the touristy attractions. Give yourself a few extra days in this magnificent city to enjoy some (or all) of these unique experiences.
