5 Best New Hotels Opening in 2023

Ahh hotels… to some they are just a place to sleep, to others they can make or break your vacation.

Those of us who enjoy the hotel as part of the experience… we want to be pampered, we want to wake up in the morning and enjoy a lovely breakfast at the hotel. Then, after a long day of walking and sightseeing there is nothing better than looking forward to returning to a magnificent hotel. Taking a dip in a wonderful pool after a hot day and enjoying a refreshing drink at the bar before dinner are all part of the experience. A fantastic hotel spa is also key for days when you want to treat yourself to relaxing treatments.

So, at Distinct Vacations, we are always on the lookout for new hotel openings. We look for centrally located properties that offer impeccable service and wonderful amenities to our clients. Below are some of the most awaited openings for 2023…

Gran Hotel Son Net, Mallorca, Spain

Gran Hotel Son Net, Mallorca, Spain

Set on a dramatic hillside, this renovated 17th century country estate is the perfect spot for a peaceful and romantic retreat. Although in a remote setting, the hotel is within 30 minutes of the airport and the beaches of Mallorca. A nearby nature reserve is ideal for hiking and within walking distance is the village of Puigpunyent with a local market, shops, and cafés - 31 rooms with stunning views, wellness center, gym, 2 restaurants, and swimming pools.

Rooftop terrace at Six Senses Rome

Six Senses Rome

Yes, this spectacular rooftop piazza is at the new Six Senses Rome. Come up to enjoy a drink or small bites as you take a pause from the busy streets of Rome. Honoring Rome’s past while designing a contemporary and impressive new hotel was the goal here. The hotel is located within a 5-minute walk of Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. The hotel is located in a historical palazzo that has been renovated to maintain its authenticity with a contemporary feel - 96 rooms with beautiful high ceilings and unique room layouts, a state-of-the-art spa, restaurant and rooftop terrace.

New hotel opening - Bulgari Rome

Bulgari Rome

In the heart of the Campo Marzio neighborhood and a short walk from the iconic Spanish Steps, Bulgari Rome will occupy a historical building facing Roman landmarks. This magnificent hotel brand is adding this property in Rome and impeccably expressing its Roman heritage. The hotel’s décor uses imperial marble and burnt red brick in a contemporary way as this 1940s building has been transformed into a magnificent modern hotel - 114 suites, a spa, pool, gym, library, bar and restaurant.

The Peninsula Istanbul

The Peninsula Istanbul

Having recently visited Istanbul and meeting with the hotel’s management, I am extremely excited for this opening. This stunning property on the Bosphorus has beautiful outdoor areas with gardens and a pool on the water, unlike any other hotel in the city. With a modern Turkish design, many rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows – 177 rooms and suites (including a 5500 square foot suite with its own hammam, gym, and rooftop pool!), lobby restaurant, rooftop restaurant, beautiful spa, gym, and outdoor swimming pool.

One&Only Aesthesis, Athens, Greece

One&Only Aesthesis, Athens, Greece

Want to explore Athens but not necessarily stay in the city? We have the solution… One&Only Aesthesis is scheduled to open later this year and is located only 30 minutes from the center of Athens. In the Athenian Riviera, just south of the city, the hotel has a seafront location with spectacular views and secluded from the hustle and bustle of Athens – 127 rooms/suites/villas (many with private pools), a beach club, spa, restaurants, and pools.
