Best New Hotels of 2021

There is so much excitement in the travel industry as European borders continue to reopen for tourism. We are busy at Distinct Vacations planning European vacations for 2021 and for next year.

CROATIA…

Maslina Resort, Hvar

Croatia’s chic island of Hvar is known for its lively beach clubs and restaurants but now you can find your haven in this new hotel tucked away in a quiet part of the island. All rooms have breathtaking ocean views and some offer private pools. Activities include a yoga classes, hiking through olive groves and lavender fields, indulging in spa treatments, and enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. Tour the organic garden on property and explore the island with culinary experiences and wine tastings.

Cheval Blanc Paris

Located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris, on the Left Bank a few steps away from the Louvre and the Marais, this is a very eagerly awaited hotel in Paris. The chic brand of hotels with existing properties in the Maldives, St. Tropez, and St. Barth’s, will be opening later on this year. This property with contemporary design will include a Dior spa and a gourmet restaurant all in the heart of the City of Light.

Les Sources de Cheverny, Loire Valley

This new property is a sanctuary nestled in green lush surroundings in a region famous for its fairytale castles, lovely wines, and natural beauty. Days here are focused on stepping back in time visiting castles and savoring the Loire Valley’s delicious wines. The hotel’s luxurious spa treatments (using products made with locally grown grapes), is the perfect way to relax after exploring this spectacular region.

ITALY…

Villa Igiea, Sicily

Discover history, majesty and serenity at Villa Igiea. The hotel is a turn-of-the-century palazzo located at the perimeter of the city of Palermo, the foot of Mount Pellegrino and the Gulf of Palermo. After undergoing a complete 4-year renovation, this property has the best views on St. Barths. It sits on a hill overlooking Gustavia, the main town on the island. The hotel has one of the island’s most charming restaurants and the beach club is a short walk away.
