The Perfect Itinerary for 4 Days in Seville

Seville is a magical city that completely seduces you with the most charming neighborhoods, a Gothic cathedral, a Moorish-Renaissance royal palace, authentic flamenco shows, endless tapas bars with exquisite food, and restored palaces as boutique hotels that take you back in time.

Here is the perfect itinerary for 4 days in Seville, allowing you to explore the city and even take a day trip to visit the nearby whitewashed villages (pueblos blancos).

Day 1:

On the day of arrival, settle in and relax. Before dinner, head out to Las Setas – a modern architectural structure offering great views of the city. It is quite special around sunset!

Day 2:

The next day, stroll the narrow pedestrian streets of Santa Cruz neighborhood. Then make your way to the Cathedral and climb the Giralda Tower for excellent views of the city.

In the afternoon, head to the Alcázar of Seville, a stunning royal palace with beautiful gardens. This is best done on a pre-scheduled visit with a private guide. Tickets sell out weeks or months prior to the date.

This evening, meet your guide and expert in flamenco for the most intimate experience. Enjoy a flamenco show at a local ‘tablao’. Learn all about this historic art form comprised of songs and dances. After the show enjoy a local tapas tour.

Day 3:

On day 3 enjoy a walk through some of Seville’s most renowned attractions. Start at Plaza de España. This stunning semi-circular building in Renaissance-Moorish style is surrounded by canals, bridges, and gorgeous ceramic tiles. Stroll through Parque de Maria Luisa. This glorious park is beautifully landscaped with gardens and duck ponds.

Continue along the river, stopping at Torre del Oro. You can climb to the top of this military watchtower. Continue along the river and peek at the beautiful Plaza de Toros (the bullring). Cross the Triana Bridge to explore the Triana district including its vibrant market.

Day 4:

On the fourth day I recommend a driver/guide to visit the nearby city of Ronda and the whitewashed villages (pueblos blancos). These lovely villages have charming narrow streets and beautiful architecture. Ronda has an extraordinary location as the city sits on both sides of a gorge connected by a stunning bridge.

Seville is one of my favorite cities in Europe. I am sure you will also fall in love with its beauty, charm and overall vibe.
