WHO SHOULDN'T USE A TRAVEL ADVISOR

As much as I would love for everyone to become my client, the truth is there are travelers who would not benefit from hiring me to plan their trips.

Below are types of travelers who shouldn't work with a Travel Advisor to plan their vacations...

YOU LOVE TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND HAVE THE TIME TO DO IT – After getting to know your preferences I take care of all the research to create a completely customized itinerary that is perfect for you. My itineraries include flights, ground transportation, accommodations, day tours, and exclusive experiences. If you are the type of traveler who loves pulling all of this together and, more importantly, have the time to do it then you may not need me.

But keep reading because you might miss out on some really special experiences.

YOU DON'T MIND BOOKING SERVICES YOU FIND ONLINE THAT MAY NOT BE RELIABLE – at Distinct Vacations we partner with travel suppliers that are on the ground at your destination and have been proven to offer very reliable and high end services. Your drivers, tour guides, and all experiences will be timely, professional, and fun. I often hear from clients that these experiences is what makes their vacations so memorable. You shouldn’t have to worry about the quality or reliability of your services while traveling.

YOU DON'T WANT A SPECIALIST TO MAKE EXPERT RECOMMENDATIONS - I spend a lot of time talking to my clients about their preferences, hobbies, and interests. Only after getting to know you will I design a trip to include activities that you will love (a private truffle hunting experience, a bike tour in the vineyards, or a hike along a beautiful coastline). It's also important to know your style, do you prefer hotels with a modern feel or historic buildings with old world charm? All these details are what make your vacation unique, memorable, and feeling it was tailor made for you!

YOU DON'T WANT UNIQUE EXPERIENCES – So anyone can search for the must do's in any city and quickly see many articles on the top 5 things to do in Rome, for example. But the difference is you will be doing them alongside thousands of people or waiting in line for hours to enter the Vatican. The experiences I include get you skip the line access to all major attractions with private guides that will explain the history and the magic of the sites you are visiting.

YOU DON'T MIND A ROOM OVERLOOKING THE PARKING LOT - Hotels know how you booked your room. If you see a really good deal on Expedia chances are you are getting a dark room overlooking a parking lot. Before a client travels I contact each hotel to request VIP treatment. Not only will you be given the nicest rooms but you will be catered to and, often times, receive special welcome amenities.

YOU DON'T WANT SOMEONE WORKING FOR YOU (not the cruise line or hotel), but only interested in making this the best experience possible for you – As Travel Advisors our main goal is creating the most special trip for you. Recommendations on destinations, accommodations and experiences are purely based on what we believe will make your vacation special and memorable. We work for you and want you to come home raving about your trip!
