5 Favorite Hotels in Paris

Paris is divided into 17 zones called arrondissements. It can be quite confusing figuring out where to stay in the city. Which areas will give you the best Parisian experience, which ones are within walking distance to some of the main attractions and the best restaurants. In addition, the Seine River divides Paris into 2 sections, the right bank and left bank.

Below are my 5 favorite hotels in the city. I love these properties for their locations, service, and the overall Parisian feel.

Grand Hotel du Palais Royal – in the 1st arrondissement

Beautifully tucked behind the romantic Palais Royal gardens, this contemporary boutique hotel is just steps from the Louvre and minutes from the Left Bank. It is ideally located to take advantage of Paris’ shops, restaurants, and galleries. Its top signature suites are beautifully designed and feature large balconies with sweeping city views.

Cheval Blanc – in the 1st arrondissement

This recently opened hotel is a retreat in the center of the city. It boasts a luxurious spa, indoor pool and four restaurants. The location can’t be beat on the right bank, steps away from the Louvre and the Marais district. This chic brand of hotels has existing properties in the Maldives, St. Tropez, and St. Barth’s, all with contemporary design.

La Réserve – in the 8th arrondissement (bordering the 1st)

Imagine feeling like you are walking into your elegant apartment building but being pampered in a luxurious hotel. La Reserve is in a quiet residential street in Paris.
